Moments of cultural transition, such as we are now in, seem to incur change which impacts many aspects of contemporary life.
This may be nowhere more apparent than in evidently shifting concepts of health, healing and illness. Consider for example the significant increase in awareness and use of alternative and complementary therapies over the past ten years. How and where does cultural change like this originate? How are our models of health and healing influenced?
The consortium's widest umbrella focus is to provide public dialogue forums for discourse on evolution of paradigm shifts
and how they affect our collective and individual perceptions. At a more specific level, we have particular interest in how cultural change colors our models of health and healing. From a holistic perspective,
the universe is alive and wise. As we enter the future, we aspire to engage in conscious dialogue with universal wisdom while sustaining the ultimate desire of creating a life of ethical balance and attunement with our environment, universe and each other.
Services include the Public Dialogue Forums, The Information Network, the Consortium News bimonthly newsletter, and
integrative health consulting services. The Public Dialogue Forums are currently in bulletin board and discussion room formats.
The Information Network is a nationwide referral system comprised of social and integrative health organizations. The Consortium News bimonthly newsletter contains articles, book reviews and an integrated health calendar. The consortium will also offer a range of health consulting services designed for a variety of health care professionals and settings.
